WAGNER 72250 Ultimate motorcycle motorbike gas fuel Tank Sealing resin liner sealant repair? is a a single compaonent air drying MOT 2 PACK which sets way to quickly not resulting in fulll penetration of all areas and metal pores! Suitable? ALL gas and fuel tanks long-term coating of sheet metal steel copper brass ,fiberglass Carbon composite and aluminium tanks and seals and repairs even pinhole damage and small holes in tanks due to totally cleaning and preparing? internally most auto and motorbike fuel tanks? 80 litre kit? consisting of:
1.) Transparent WAGNER Single-Component Resin for Tank Sealing for up to 40 litres volume see 10and 80 litre kits too .
2.) Detailed instructions for tank sealing and product installation too,
Unsealed fuel tanks tend to rust more often now since the introduction of lead-free petrol ? the resulting rust particles present a danger for fuel pumps, carburettors and fuel injection systems. Even tanks in diesel vehicles and two-stroke vehicles rust through. And even fuel tanks made of GFRP composite materials are at risk ? their surface starts to become porous and damp over time.
Fiinally the answer! WAGNER single-component tank sealing resin saves any tank, by installing a protective inner tank, so to speak. Even fuel tanks that are already smelly, damp or dripping wet are usually 100% leakproof after sealing!see the video and see what we mean! actual perforated tank has all holes sealed permanently if the bottom edge is collapsed this can be used with fiberglass? mat to repair it too! saves respraying the top and side!! save a fortune ! call Mike 01773835666 for more details
As opposed to most two-component sealing compounds, WAGNER single-component tank sealing resin remains flexible and a lot thinner and allows it to penetrate the treated metal surface prepared by the included rust remover in the kit , and permanently retains a minimum amount of flexibility also being air fdrying it will not start to harden for 4-5 hours allowing you to fully coat the surfaces inside unlike the much thicker 2 pack systems wich often do not ccover all areas ! Its is left 24 hours then another coat can be applied and up to 5 times allowing up to 5 coats and 3mm or 1/8 of an inch thickness this will also seal small pinholes too! larger holers can be bridged with fiberglass mat saving rewelding asnd cutting out the bottom of tank and rewelf=ding too! PLUS saves respray as well !This really IS the answer to al automotive and boat tanks too- ! finally ? the result is that the inner coating adheres reliably even in case of later damage to the tank due to vibrations or minor accidents. In addition, the single-component material hardens more slowly, therefore giving the user more time to ensure correct sealing and to convey the flowing material to all critical surfaces.
WAGNER single-component tank sealing resin seals tank interiors made of steel (also alloys), aluminium, stainless steel, copper, brass and composites such as carbon, GFRP, fiberglass Kevlar, polyester or vinylester.NOT for plastic tanks? .
Even new tanks with smooth inner surfaces can be sealed with WAGNER single-component tank sealing resin; roughening is not necessary. WAGNER tank sealing resin cannot be used on tanks made of polyethylene or polypropylene, since these materials cannot be coated permanently.
Application & Dosing
175 ml are sufficient to seal a tank of a volume of up to 10 litres.
250 ml are sufficient to seal a tank of a volume of up to 30 litres.
500 ml are sufficient to seal a tank of a volume of up to 80 litres (without baffle plates) or 60 litres (with baffle plates).
After the necessary preparatory works Pour the needed quantity of WAGNER Single-Component Resin into the tank and shake vigorously; then carefully slosh it around. The resin should completely saturate all inner walls.(we can supply Rust remover converter)
When the inner coating is dry to the touch and no longer sticky (after 12 - 24 hours), a second layer can be applied.
The hardening time of the inner sealing in the tank is about 7 to 8 days.
WAGNER Single-Component Resin for Tank Sealing is resistant to leaded and unleaded fuel, ethanol/petrol blended fuels such as E5, E10 and E85, pure ethanol, pure petrol, two-stroke mixtures, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, motor oil, transmission oil, hydraulic oil, mineral oil, synthetic oil, two-stroke oil, brightstock, coolant and additives, such as Air-Tec Fuel Stabilizer.
